NEWSLETTER

February 24, 2025

Dear Parents,

We are in middle of our third quarter and are making plans for the soon approaching spring. There are a lot of events coming up so the students are busy preparing for them as well as working on their academics.

Please check on your children’s progress in their schoolwork. They should have almost 1/2 of the PACEs or high school courses completed that are listed on the “Honor Roll” slips that were sent home. This will ensure that they are on schedule to complete their quarter’s worth of work. We have a great group of students and believe Gods’ best for them. Together we will see them do great exploits for the Kingdom.

It is also time to check on your children’s school supplies. Many of our students in grade 1 to grade 6 are in need of new pencils. A few of them do not have erasers, rulers, pencil crayons, or headphones as well.

Commitment forms for both Junior and Senior Regionals have gone out. If you have not returned them, please hand them in by the end of the week. It is imperative to have them in order to plan the students events. Dates for Senior’s are Tuesday, April 29 - May 1 with a travel day on either end. Jr. Regionals (ages 8-12) will be held on May 14 - 16 with May 13th as our travel day. International Student Convention, for students ages 13-18, is in Muncie, Indiana on May 24-29. There will be four travel days on before those dates and three after. Opportunities to attend and volunteer for these events are available for parents. More information will be available in the coming weeks for both students competing and parent volunteers. If you, as a parent, are planning on joining us for either or both of these events, please let me know as soon as possible.

We are hosting a “Student Showcase” on April 11 that is open to the community. This will be a great opportunity to invite those who have children and may be interested in Lakeland Christian Academy. During this evening the students will be performing things they have entered in for Student Convention. Also, all of the artwork, social, and science exhibits will be on display for viewing after the event. To make our evening more enjoyable and profitable there will be a silent auction with a number of items and services to bid on. There will be a “cover charge” for this event. We will be offering refreshments that evening as well. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.

Please share with friends, neighbours, and family the great things that are happening at LCA. We are believing for many new students in the fall. As always word of mouth is our best advertising.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress, please feel free to call.

God Bless,
