Dear Parents,

Spring is here and we are finished our second week of the last quarter. We are determined to finish our year with a Shout of Victory! Please help us in this by encouraging your child to dig deep and be diligent through to the end of the year even though they would probably rather be enjoying the warm weather.

Our very first Student Showcase was a huge success. We made over $2000 that night. Thank you to everyone that donated items to auction and time to help make the night so enjoyable. Some people are already asking about next year.

We had a fantastic time at our Junior Regional Convention. I want to thank all of the parents who came out. You really outdid yourselves to make this event the success that it was. Our students did fantastic. They placed 1 st in 21 events, 2 nd in 20 events, and 3 rd in 15 events which won the Academic and Platform trophies for our school. We are so very proud of all of their hard work and achievements. Seven students are going to Portage la Prairie, Manitoba to compete in the Senior Regional Convention and six students are going to Warrensburg, Missouri to compete in the International Student Convention. Please pray for us while we are away.

A copy of your child’s “Honor Roll” projection has been sent home. This is a list of the work your child is required to complete for the fourth quarter. If your child did not complete the work from previous quarters, this “Honor Roll” projection may not necessarily have everything they need to complete their school year. Please take a close look at these projections. If you need help determining if your children are “on track”, please contact me sooner rather than later.

We are still selling gift cards and they are available in the office from 9:00 to 3:00. You can pick up cards any time between those hours. Remember, fundraising for the 2024-2025 school year started April 1. Let’s get a head start on next year’s funds.

Please share with your family and friends the great things that are happening at LCA. We are looking forward to having our Kindergarten up and running again this fall. It is a fantastic program and we are excited at the prospect of having an ECS once again. We are, as always, accepting new grade 1-12 enrolments for the fall.

Thank you all for the time and energy that you put into your children’s education. It is an investment that will pay rich dividends for years to come in your child’s future. Keep your eye on the prize.

God bless,

Lynda Amesmann
